Everything starts with Entrepreneurship!

It doesn’t matter how many times you fail. It doesn’t matter how many times you almost get it right. No one is going to know or care about your failures, and neither should you. All you have to do is learn from them and those around you because all that matters in business is that you get it right once. So start enterprising Entrepreneurship because everything starts when you start up.

The event “DOT E” is the flagship summit of the Entrepreneurs club, PSG College of Technology. A brief prelude to the events that will be happening in the summit is presented below.

Session I – Inauguration ceremony and presidential address:

Dot – E will be inaugurated by Dr. B.K. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar (Chairman, Shakthi Textiles Private limited, Pollachi) who will guide you through the need for entrepreneurship and how innovating or starting up is a way of life which will take you to unimaginable heights. He will also share his experiences right from his college life to the stature he has reached today and guide you through a better way of life.

Session II – Mind your Business:

Mornings of a job seeker and an employer are very different. The former thinks of going to office, working on whatever is said partially and coming back home whereas a true leader thinks how he/she will manage his/her team to pull off whatever has been planned for that day i.e, A leader should work with the team and not give orders pertaining to his goals. “MIND YOUR BUSINESS, because days get more and more expensive & sales will not generate themselves” – Matthew Levy

Session III – What the E!

This session will focus on E – Commerce which is supposedly the next big thing. It enables 64 year old Seema to sell her pickles from Rajasthan to everywhere in the world. It provides a 25 yr old bride in Tamil Nadu’s remote village to buy a designer saree for her wedding. That’s what E – Commerce has taken business to. Learn everything about it from the best people in business, while some are able to make exponential profits and others are groveling.

“It isn’t just that E-commerce depends on express mail; there’s a sense in which E-commerce is express mail. Right now, billions of dollars are being spent around the country on delivery systems. And so, E commerce is the next money magnet.” – Malcolm Gladwell

Session IV – Keynote on “Everything starts with Entrepreneurship”

When you see Entrepreneurship in the movies we all pretty much know what it looks like. It is two guys in a garage, eating ramen noodles, they’re working on something, and everyone thinks they are crazy- fast forward… boom! All of the sudden they are on the cover of magazines and they are proven right all along. Everyone wishes they had that idea at the beginning. It goes from being crazy to being obvious. But that image of entrepreneurship is really misleading. What makes you an entrepreneur is not what kind of noodles you eat, but rather the context in which you operate.

The keynote address of Dot – E will emphasize Starting up and venturing. Failing many times doesn’t matter because you only have to succeed once.

Session V – Retailer

One of the most interesting parts of the summit is the “Retailer”, which is a test on how good your negotiating skills are when it comes to business. A fun event with exciting prizes to be won, make sure you enroll yourselves up for this one.

The summit is also a great opportunity to interact with some of the entrepreneurial tycoons like Mr.“Roots” Ramasamy (Founder and Chairman Roots groups of companies) and Mr. Karthi Easwaramoorthy (Founder, Ticketgoose.com). DOT E is open to all college students pursuing any degree, for entrepreneurship is never bounded by any particular field. Don’t miss to be a part of one of the most prestigious events of PSG TECH. Hurry up and register for yourselves!
